Pediatric Massage

I am trained and passionate about working with newborns and children facing challenges with breastfeeding, digestion, sleeping, or recovery from labor and birth trauma. Gentle myofascial and craniosacral techniques help to release tension in the cranium, musculoskeletal structures, and organs to make it easier for a baby to move, eat, sleep, and play with ease. Massage can help a developing baby feel more comfort being in their body, and I love teaching parents how to massage and soothe their baby outside of our sessions.

Massage can be helpful for:
-breastfeeding issues
-digestion + abdominal distress
-labor + birth trauma
-falls + impacts
-sleep disturbances
-cranial nerve function
-chronic illness (I specialize in working with Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome)

=guiding healthy alignment patterns
-behavioral problems or sensory disorders

This work is done fully clothed with a parent present, and the child can move freely throughout the session. The sessions are prorated and generally run from 15-60 minutes depending on the age and comfort of the child.

Postpartum Massage
Postpartum massage can be so necessary and relieving for a new mom. The adjustments to motherhood come with an often overlooked recovery process in the body that can feel overwhelming or helpless. Massage (and PT in some cases) is a supportive resource during those first 6 weeks of healing and can help with hormone regulation, better sleep, improved breastfeeding, reduced swelling, and reduced anxiety and depression. Massage can also help to alleviate musculoskeletal strain, balance pelvic rotation, restore muscle tone in the abdomen, and promote scar tissue healing. My goal is to help you feel like yourself again, while honoring the recovery process after 9 months of hard work.

I can combine working on parent and baby in one session- infants generally receive up to 30 minutes of work, and the rest of the session is focused on the parent while monitoring and staying present to the needs of the child. We work together to adjust anything in the room in order to make it work for you.
